Overhead Crane Training | Sling Hoist Trainers


Overhead crane / Hoists TrainingOverhead crane training / hoists sling operator certification safety course is taught by our professional staff of trainers and consultants. On site, in the workplace, they will teach your employees the basics of safe crane /sling operation and pre-shift inspections, so as to increase productivity and efficiency while reducing the risk of product damage, property damage, and accidents. Overhead crane certification, like some of our other safety courses is also customized for people in the workplace struggling with illiteracy This allows you to get your employees certified in half the time. Utilizing your workplace specific equipment, you are ensured competent safe operators. Not to mention taking already certified operators and correcting any bad habits they may have developed over time.

This crane training certification course will:

  • Assist employers to meet the Occupational Health and Safety Act requirement to ensure the operators of lifting devices are competent persons
  • Upgrade the material handling practices within the company



Concepts of the Safe Use of Cranes / Slings:

  • Material Handling regulations under the OSHA 49 through 64.
  • Pre-Shift checks and inspection
  • Analyze the lift
  • Load limits and capacity
  • Maintaining a safe distance
  • Lifting, moving, placing loads
  • Standard safe practices
  • Controls and basic operation
  • Use of chains, slings, spreader bars, grabbers, and other attachments

How Long Does It Take?

Half a day maximum of twenty-five (25) participants per session. All crane training is delivered on site and scheduled to your convenience (off shifts, weekends, whenever and wherever).


Observation of Safe Use of The Overhead Crane / Sling Hoist

  • Each Operator will be evaluated on the safe use of cranes/slings.
  • Using equipment they will be using in their regular use of the crane hoist/slings.
  • A written evaluation of this observation is completed, reviewed with participants, and given to the company for their records.

How Long Does It Take?

Forty minutes per Operator. All overhead crane operator training is delivered on site and scheduled to your convenience (off shifts, weekends, whenever and wherever).
